I’ve been looking for a quick way to preview a font/typeface and choose the best one for my needs. Instead of selecting one through a dropdown control in a text editor or graphics application, a simple list viewed through a browser was the easiest and most efficient method to choose a typeface. Since I found it useful, I thought I’d share it.

Update: Check out Font Picker over at Noggin Box.  It will load the fonts available on your computer and allow you to provide custom text for preview.  This is exactly what I was looking for.

Note: This list isn’t complete and only includes fonts most probably supported by your browser. If the font isn’t supported by your browser, the text will appear in monospace.
